My favorites and the definite misses from the Target Spring 2019 Swim Collection

Swimsuit season is upon us and lets face it trying on swimsuits as a mom vs. the college days is a little different! Long gone are the days that I look for the swimsuits that will give me the least tan lines, now I tend to go for the bathing suits that cover the most. As moms we have to face the reality that our bodies have changed and some of us are still trying to figure out how to navigate dressing our new “mom bods”. I was tired of hiding behind a swim skirt and tankini for the past few summers because my body now has cellulite, stretch marks, sagging “ladies” and about 20 pounds of baby weight to lose. I am a perfectionist at heart and no matter if I get my pre-baby body back by summer or not I am choosing to step out of my comfort zone and try different swimsuits this summer!
That being said I think as a mom I also look at the functionality of a swimsuit just as much as the print/color! No Mama wants their lady bits or boobs popping out of their swimsuit while they are chasing a kid at the beach or bent over the cooler getting snacks!!

So here are some of the hits and misses from the Target Swim line 2019! For your reference I am 5’5″ and about 163 lbs. I am pretty much between a Medium and Large and size 8 and 10 so I usually try both on to see which is more flattering! And the good news is Target is offering FREE SHIPPING and FREE RETURNS on all women’s swim so that is a huge win in my book!
The Misses:
The cutout really accentuated my “c-section pooch”. I also was wearing a 36C because that was the only size that would come close to fitting me! Maybe if I sized up I would like it better!
