Spring break and swimsuit season is almost upon us! I braved the chilly weather and bared my lily white untanned skin to try and find a bathing suit that looks best for my body, as mom of two, and give you my advice on the hits and misses of the Target Swimsuit line for 2020! Shopping online is a daunting task especially with bathing suits, and I will admit Target has done a much better job at not only including a 5 foot 9 inch skinny model but, a variety of body types on their website. I am here to show you the lumps, bumps, where the fat rolls pop out and all the imperfections so you can find the bathing suit that makes you feel confident and fits your needs the best! This season I stayed away from the two pieces because frankly I didn’t see any I liked at Target and I prefer a high waisted two piece which I love getting from some brands off Amazon! So without further ado here are my favorites and the misses from Target!
For your reference my stats are
*5 foot 5 inches
* Typically Size Medium sometimes Large
* Size 6/8
*Bra Size 34 DD
This was hands down my favorite bathing suit of the day! I am wearing a size Medium and this red bathing suit was giving me all the Baywatch vibes while still feeling comfortable and covering my problem areas!
This Muted Leopard Bathing Suit was another favorite! It had waist flattering cinching and a racerback detail in the back! It was truly adorable and I felt like it captured the leopard trend in a wearable non- stripper way!!! Stay tuned for the risky leopard in the misses! I am wearing a size Medium.
Bright Pink and Colorful this Floral Swimsuit had coverage and tropical vibes as well as the best back strap details! A definite winner! I am wearing a size Medium!
This Black Strapless Swimsuit was a top contender. I am wearing size Medium. It came with optional straps and it was also pretty tight to get on which I think is what you are looking for when you buy a strapless bathing suit so it will stay up!I tried on a large and it was too big so stay true to size on this one! A definite classic bathing suit that will work for years to come though!
This Aqua Multi-Color Swimsuit was another favorite! Great coverage and cute back detail! Wearing size Medium.
The cutest black cover up that comes in cream/white too! The back detail is adorable and the fit was super cute! I am wearing a size Medium but I did notice it is a juniors brand so I might go up to a Large to maybe add some more length!
Welp….. I am wearing a size Medium in this uuhhhmm reavealing Leopard Monokini. I just think for my comfort level and to not feel like I am popping out at every angle this bathing suit is a NO for me!
Another miss is this Juniors High Cut Floral Cut-Out Bathing Suit. I am wearing a Large and for once the cut-out is not the problem. The high cut is just not my favorite look as it accentuates a pooch I didn’t know existed until that moment. I think since I carry my weight in my lower half this isn’t for me, but if you have long thin legs this might be the one for you!
So wow, this one looked super fun and retro but man, this Multi-color Striped Swimsuit was my least favorite. I am wearing size Large. High cut, stripes and sleeves…. I am not sure who this may look good on! But if it looks good on you, you rock that thang girl!!!!!!
So that’s it for this years 2020 edition of Target Swimsuit Try-on for Moms! I hope it was super helpful to see these swimsuits on a real person without Photoshop and perfect lighting so you can get a true depiction on how they look on a Mom of 2! Stay tuned for my Amazon Swimsuit try-on as well as Wal-Mart Swimsuit Finds!
